Measurement of the transverse momentum spectrum of the Higgs boson produced in pp collisions at √s=8 TeV using H → WW decays
(2017)Journal of High Energy PhysicsThe cross section for Higgs boson production in pp collisions is studied using the H → W+W− decay mode, followed by leptonic decays of the W bosons to an oppositely charged electron-muon pair in the final state. The measurements are performed using data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.4 fb−1. The Higgs boson transverse momentum (p T) is ...Journal Article -

Search for a heavy resonance decaying to a top quark and a vector-like top quark at √s=13 TeV
(2017)Journal of High Energy PhysicsA search is presented for massive spin-1 Z′ resonances decaying to a top quark and a heavy vector-like top quark partner T. The search is based on a 2.6 fb−1 sample of proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV collected with the CMS detector at the LHC. The analysis is optimized for final states in which the T quark decays to a W boson and a bottom quark. The focus is on all-jet final states in which both the W boson and the top quark decay into ...Journal Article -
Search for a light pseudoscalar Higgs boson produced in association with bottom quarks in pp collisions at √s=8 TeV
(2017)Journal of High Energy PhysicsA search for a light pseudoscalar Higgs boson (A) produced in association with bottom quarks and decaying into a muon pair is reported. The search uses 19.7 fb−1 of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, collected by the CMS experiment. No signal is observed in the dimuon mass range from 25 to 60 GeV. Upper limits on the cross section times branching fraction, σ(pp→bb¯¯¯A)B(A→μμ), are set.Journal Article -
Search for new physics in the monophoton final state in proton-proton collisions at √s=13 TeV
(2017)Journal of High Energy PhysicsA search is conducted for new physics in a final state containing a photon and missing transverse momentum in proton-proton collisions at s√=13 TeV. The data collected by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC correspond to an integrated luminosity of 12.9 fb−1. No deviations are observed relative to the predictions of the standard model. The results are interpreted as exclusion limits on the dark matter production cross sections and parameters ...Journal Article -
Search for heavy neutrinos or third-generation leptoquarks in final states with two hadronically decaying tau leptons and two jets in proton-proton collisions at √s = 13 TeV
(2017)Journal of High Energy PhysicsA search for new particles has been conducted using events with two high transverse momentum (pT) τ leptons that decay hadronically, at least two high-pT jets, and missing transverse energy from the τ lepton decays. The analysis is performed using data from proton-proton collisions, collected by the CMS experiment in 2015 at s √ =13 s=13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.1 fb−1. The results are interpreted in two ...Journal Article -

Measurements of differential cross sections for associated production of a W boson and jets in proton-proton collisions at √s = 8 TeV
(2017)Physical Review DDifferential cross sections for a W boson produced in association with jets are measured in a data sample of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV recorded with the CMS detector and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.6 fb−1. The W bosons are identified through their decay mode W→μν. The cross sections are reported as functions of jet multiplicity, transverse momenta, and the scalar sum of jet transverse ...Journal Article -
Search for Supersymmetry in pp Collisions at √s=13 TeV in the Single-Lepton Final State Using the Sum of Masses of Large-Radius Jets
(2017)Physical Review LettersResults are reported from a search for supersymmetric particles in proton-proton collisions in the final state with a single lepton, multiple jets, including at least one b-tagged jet, and large missing transverse momentum. The search uses a sample of proton-proton collision data at √s=13 TeV recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb−1. The observed event yields in the signal regions ...Journal Article -
Searches for W' bosons decaying to a top quark and a bottom quark in proton-proton collisions at 13TeV
(2017)Journal of High Energy PhysicsSearches are presented for heavy gauge bosons decaying into a top and a bottom quark in data collected by the CMS experiment at s √ s = 13 TeV that correspond to an integrated luminosity of 2.2 and 2.6 fb−1 in the leptonic and hadronic analyses, respectively. Two final states are analyzed, one containing a single electron, or muon, and missing transverse momentum, and the other containing multiple jets and no electrons or muons. No ...Journal Article
