Abstract
We aim to link VGI that expresses subjective opinions about a location to its spatial configuration. We present an approach to quantify the location’s spatial configuration by generating highly precise isovists based on LiDAR scans. The representativeness of opinion-based VGI and their relation the local spatial configuration can be tested in a VR setup in the lab. Further applications of LiDAR-based isovists are discussed.
