Abstract
This paper presents the initial analyses of a new survey conducted as part of a regular multitopic face-to-face survey UNIVOX organised by the Swiss market research firm GfS, Zürich. The focus here is travel behaviour generally, and a new issue for travel behaviour research: projects, organising daily life through their longer time horizons and their higher importance for the travellers. The descriptives and a first exploratory modelling exercise confirm the expected drivers behind the projects, which the respondents engage in in substantial numbers. The life cycle plays a central role for the longer-term projects, while the short term projects increase with income and general level of social engagement. Show more
