Abstract
This edition considers the contemporary Russian-Belarus relationship. Firstly, Alla Leukavets provides an overview of the recent dramas in the relationship, suggesting that, unlike previously, the current tensions have taken on a multidimensional character. Secondly, Kamil Kłysiński outlines how in the wake of the Ukraine crisis, Russia has adopted a new information campaign towards Belarus that is critical of Minsk’s disloyalty to Moscow. Thirdly, Andreas Heinrich analyses the role of energy in political relations between Russia and Belarus, highlighting its impact on the recent disputes. Fourthly, we have statistical data on economic and energy relations between Russia and Belarus, and Russian public perceptions of Belarus. Show more
